Business Opportunity / Problem

In support of its multi-brand copay savings program, AstraZeneca wanted a web-based portal so it could more efficiently enroll patients, generate copay cards and virtual debit cards, and perform other administrative tasks for users at specialty pharmacies and HCP offices. The portal also needed to be extensible and scalable in order to accommodate continuous growth in both number of brands and users.

Solution

To accommodate growth, Asentech developed an SOA (service oriented architecture) portal incorporating a mobile-friendly responsive design for use at pharmacies and HCP offices that also served as a full service customer service platform within AstraZeneca.

Results

Our architecture design for this project allowed our client to increase reusability of the software codebase thereby reducing millions of dollars in additional spend over multiple brands.
